What should you do amidst troubles?

inuliwa.com what to do amidst troubles

In life we will face tribulations but what should you do when you are amidst troubles. The following are some of the ways you can follow:

1.      Praise the Lord

If you are undergoing pain, troubles, tribulation, stress, or any hard situation don’t complain but praise the Lord in that situation. This suggestion may seem unpractical but it is practical. Psalms22:3”But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.” The Lord inhabits in the praises of His people so when we praise and worship the Lord He will surely come and dwell in us as He has promised in His word. Praising is a great weapon that we can use in times of difficulty.

All that we need in this life is the presence of God. In the presence of God there is healing, joy, love, happiness, healing, and people are set free since no demon can stand before God’s presence. So in times of trouble we really need the presence of God to move with us. Thus we should praise and worship the Lord.

Praising the Lord is not necessarily using the so-called praise & worship songs but it’s a sacrifice of praise the fruit of our lips.

Hebrews 13:15 “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”

2.      See or perceive differently

When David faced Goliath he didn’t see a hero or a mighty warrior as the other soldiers including King Saul saw but David decided to see an uncircumcised Philistine. 1 Samuel 17:36 “Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God.” So when we are faced with difficult situations we should not see how big the problem is but rather we should see how big our God is.

Romans8:37 “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” It’s through our Lord Jesus that we are more than conquerors, because it’s not by power or might but by the power of the Holy Spirit. We should see and believe that we are more than conquerors, and capable to defeat anything that comes our way through the help and strength in Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:13”I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

3.      Use your words positively and prophesy victory

1Samuel 17:45-47 “Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you and take your head from you. And this day I will give the carcasses of the camp of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. Then all this assembly shall know that the LORD does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’S, and He will give you into our hands.”

David told Goliath how big His God is, in short he prophesied victory to the situation and that’s what happened.

When you are in hard situations stop using negative words that you will never succeed, you are weak but talk to the problem and prophesy victory over it. Use words of faith like David did he never said you are too huge but I will defeat you but he told Goliath how big and mighty His God was and the Lord did show His might in the end. Talk positively, focusing and meditating on how God is great and mighty.

While we are in this hard situations our hope and faith in the Lord Almighty is exercised, don’t get irritated but fit on those situation and know that God will pay you indeed, He is not unjust, Goliath made David famous. Perhaps your situation is going to make you famous.
Hebrews 6:10″ For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.”

4.      Pray and fast before the Lord for victory

Psalms 6:9”Yahweh has heard my supplication. Yahweh accepts my prayer.”

Today, find peace and security in God’s love for you. Don’t be afraid to take your concerns and cares to Him. He loves it when you come to Him, and He’s ready to receive you with open arms because you are His wonderful child. When you pray according to His will know that He has accepted and heard your prayer for He neither sleeps nor slumbers.

Fasting is abstaining from food for a particular purpose or goal which is spiritual.

It is another form of prayer that the Israelites used severally and they won the victory. Fasting has shown that the Lord forgives people their sins and saves them. Nineveh is a good example where they fasted for three days and the Lord heard their prayer and forgave them.

I will use one perfect Bible case where the Israelites fasted and the Lord gave them victory. In this case they had wept and prayed two times and the Lord gave them orders to fight against the Benjamin tribe but they were defeated and 40,000 soldiers were killed. The third time the Israelites decided to fast and thereafter the Lord said that He has delivered them in their arms.

Judges 20:26- 28 “Then all the children of Israel, that is, all the people, went up and came to the house of God and wept. They sat there before the LORD and fasted that day until evening; and they offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD. So the children of Israel inquired of the LORD (the ark of the covenant of God was there in those days, and Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, stood before it in those days), saying, “Shall I yet again go out to battle against the children of my brother Benjamin, or shall I cease?” And the LORD said, “Go up, for tomorrow I will deliver them into your hand.”

      Hey Brother,
I will certainly write about the two question you have asked explaining each of the topics in detail as the Lord will help me. I understand that fasting is a struggle and we often confuse it. Lust is considered as adultery and we should shun from it but the question is how. First you need to be delivered from that struggle not through your own strength but through the strength of the Holy Spirit. Secondly fasting may help you since it removes our flesh from the throne and gives the Holy Spirit a chance to control our lives. George i will discuss this issues in the next posts this coming week i hope you will be helped and also others.
      God bless you.
